Summary of this proficiency test:

On 25 April 2012 the proficiency test on Lubricating Oil (unused) started with 90 participants from 50 different countries.

On that date, the samples were dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the samples were the instructions to the participants for this proficiency test, forms for the reporting of the analysis results and the safety data sheet (SDS).

The samples can be analyzed on: Acid Number, Base Number, Colour, CCR, Density @15°C, Flash Point COC and PMcc, Kinematic viscosity @40°C, Kinematic viscosity @100°C Viscosity Stabinger @40°C, Nitrogen, Pour Point, Sulphated ash, Sulphur, Water and the additives Ca, P and Zn.

The deadline for reporting results is set on 25 May 2012. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.
