Summary of this proficiency test:

On 27 August 2014 the proficiency test on Jet Fuel A1 started with 138 participants from 62 different countries.

On that date, the samples were dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the samples were the instructions to the participants for this proficiency test, forms for the reporting of the analysis results and the material safety data sheet (MSDS).

The samples can be analyzed on: Aromatics by FIA, Aromatics by HPLC, BOCLE, Colour Saybolt, Density @ 15°C, Distillation (IBP, 10% recovered, 20% recovered, 50% recovered, 90% recovered, FBP),Cu, Existent gum, Freezing Point, Mercaptan, Particle Size, Smoke Point, Specific Energy, Total acidity, Total Sulphur, Naphthalenes, MSEP, Flash Point,Total Acidity, JFTOT, Viscosity @ -20°C and FAME Content.

The deadline for reporting results is set on 26 September 2014. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.
