Summary of this proficiency test: On 29 October 2014 the proficiency test on Hydraulic Fluid (Used) started with 44 participants from 30 different countries. On that date, the samples were dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the samples were the instructions to the participants for this proficiency test, forms for the reporting of the analysis results and the material safety data sheet (MSDS).
The samples have to be analyzed on: Total Acid Number, Density @ 15°C, Flash Point PMcc, Kinematic viscosity @ 40°C, Kinematic viscosity @ 100°C, Viscosity Stabinger at 40°C and at 100°C,
Pour Point Manual/ Automated, Sulphur,
Water Separability, Water, Al, Ba, Cr, Cu, Fe, Pb, Li, Mg, Mn, Mo, Ni, Na, Si, Ag, Sn, Ti, V, Ca, P and Zn.
The deadline for reporting results is set on 28 November 2014. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely
not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test. |
