Summary of this proficiency test:

On 19 August 2015 the proficiency test on Acetone started with 24 participants from 15 different countries.

On that date, the samples were dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the samples were the instructions to the participants for this proficiency test, forms for the reporting of the analysis results and the material safety data sheet (MSDS).

The samples can be tested on Appearance, Purity, Colour Pt/Co, Water, Distillation range @760 mmHg, Density @20°C, Specific gravity 20/20, Permanganate time test @15°C,  Methanol, Chloride, Acidity, Aldehydes, Nonvolatile Matter, Miscibility (water),   Diacetonalcohol, Mesityloxide and Refractive Index @20°C.

The deadline for reporting results is set on 18 September 2015. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.
