Summary of this proficiency test: On 24 February 2016 the proficiency test on Gasoil started with 163 participants from 53 different countries. On that date, the sample was dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the sample were the instructions to the participants for this proficiency test and the material safety data sheet (MSDS). The samples can be analyzed on:Ash content, Cetane Index, Carbon residue, Cloud Point, CFPP, copper corrosion, Density @ 15ºC, Flash Point PMcc, FAME content, Kinematic viscosity @40°C, Lubricity by HFRR, Nitrogen, Manganese content, PAH, pour point, Sulphur content,Oxidation Stability , Pour point, Total acid number, Water content, total contamination and Distillation at 760 mmHg. The other sample (HVO) can be tested on: Cloud Point,CFPP, Density @ 15ºC, Flash Point PMcc and Distillation at 760 mmHg. The deadline for reporting results is set on 1 April 2016. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.
