Summary of this proficiency test:

On 1 June 2016 the proficiency test on Methylmetacrylate started with 12 participants from 11 different countries.

On that date, the samples were dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the samples were the instructions to the participants for this proficiency test and the material safety data sheet (MSDS).

The samples can be analyzed on: Acidity as acrylic acid, Appearance , Colour Pt/Co, Density @ 20°C, Inhibitor as Topanol A, Water, Purity by GC (1), Purity on dry basis GC (2), Acetone, Methanol, Methylacrylate, Methylisobutyrate, Methylpropionate, Methyl alpha-Hydroxy Isobutyrate, Ethylacrylate, Ethylmethacrylate and Other impurities.

The deadline for reporting results is set on 8 July 2016. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.
