Summary of this proficiency test: On 31 August 2016 the proficiency test on Gasoil ULS (ASTM
Spec) started
with 193 participants from 78 different countries. On that date, the samples were dispatched
to the laboratories. Enclosed to the samples were the instructions to the participants for this
proficiency test and the material safety data sheet (MSDS).

The samples can be analyzed on: Ash content,
Acid Number, Aromatics, Cetane Index, Carbon residue,
Cloud Point, CFPP, Colour, copper corrosion, Density @
15C, Flash Point PMcc, FAME content, Kinematic viscosity @40C, Lubricity by
HFRR, Nitrogen, pour point, Sulphur content, Water content,
Total Contamination, Cetane Number ,Oxidation Stability
and Distillation.
The deadline for reporting results is set on
7 October 2016
. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely
not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.
