Summary of this proficiency test:

On 20 October 2010 the proficiency test on Transformer Oil started with 50 participants from 24 different countries.

On that date, the samples (#1085, #1086) were dispatched to the laboratories. Enclosed to the samples were the instructions to the participants for this proficiency test, forms for the reporting of the analysis results and the material safety data sheet (MSDS).

The samples can be analyzed on: Density @ 20°C, Di-electric dissipation Factor, Specific Resistance, Breakdown Voltage, Interfacial surface tension , Colour, Water, Acid number (neutralization number), Cadmium and Furanic Compounds.

The deadline for reporting results is set on 19 November 2010. A laboratory that sends in results after deadline will definitely not get direct feedback in case any of its results are suspect! So be in good time to get the most out of this proficiency test.
